PC Peripherals Dell 1909W 19" video view problem

Hi.....

i just brought a Dell UltraSharp 1909W 19-inch Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor.

now the problem is i can not view any movies(dvd's n cd's).....in full screen

first of all i use win xp(home).....media player 11/vlc....n my screen resolution is 1366 x 786@60hz.....

so what might be the problem....is it with the player or the display adapter....

pls any one can suggest me something.....

change ur screen resolution to 1440x900 bro as it is the native resolution for your monitor :p i own dell e1909w

how can i get 1440x900.....coz the nvidia settings has the maximum screen resolution of 1366x786.....in vlc player there is an option called 'pan'....it gives a full screen view.....but the picture get flatten.....not the normal view....

pls any suggestion....
