PC Peripherals Dell BH200 with Generic BT Dongle

Hi,

I have the HCL ME Netbook, and I am pretty sure it doesn't have inbuilt BT. So I bought a generic ultra small BT dongle from Dealextreme - Super Mini Bluetooth 2.0 Adapter Dongle (Vista Compatible) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme

Problem is that now the Dell BH200 doesn't work with this. Would a driver update solve this? I have already installed Broadcomm drivers, nothing yet.

Would I have to get some other dongle instead?

It should work, but the range will not be that good. I used mine with Bluesoliel, as was unable to install Broadcom drivers. Used it to stream music from phone to computer.

I have a dongle too, which works flawlessly on XP. However on Windows 7 Home Basic x64 no go !!
Headphone in question Dell BH200.

Aah, but you cannot install BCM drivers for all without a little bit of tinkering. Also, it did not work in my case.

I tried that.. on installing Broadcom drivers, it does not detect the device

none of those generic bluetooth dongles with BT 1.1 or 2.0 would work with stereo audio. You will need atleast this

Ouch. Its expensive. Any other options?
