Laptops Dell Delivery Time for Laptop with Preset Specifications

I have ordered an Inspiron 15R Special Edition - the one with ₹55,990.00 price tag - yesterday. I'm now waiting for it to be confirmed and shipped. The representative told me that it would be delivered in a week. But estimated time mentioned in quote is 20 days. I know that sales representatives are trained to lie sometimes. So I would like to know the real world scenario.

Is there anybody around who purchased a laptop in last 3 months? Where was your delivery location? Where was it shipped from? How long did they take to deliver to you?

Btw, the font used in this forum is cool. I love it. :)
 
@vasukinv, Give or take 1 month (incl. your order confirmation) They will call you on the contact no. provided within 2 working days, confirm your order and will give you the payment options. It ships somewhere from cochin or pondicherry (Don't remember properly) and it was shipped to Uttarakhand.
You simply don't like to post (Joining date May 2008 and Posts: 1) :)

They ship it from sriperumbudur, Chennai and takes 2 weeks tops if you are in a tier 1 city,
uttarkhand will take time anyday cos of form and road permit issues, tier 1 cities dont have that issue (except west bengal)
 
Not in the past 3 months, but almost 9 months back I had ordered my dell online. I received it on the 8th day after placing the order. The delivery was to a tier 2 city in tamil nadu. Not sure where it shipped from, but the entire process did not take much time.
 
You're absolutely right, @Gannu. DELL Laptops are sent from Sriperumbudur, Chennai. I'm expecting the delivery of the laptop in 2-3 days. I can't wait to receive it and unbox it.

I received my last laptop in 3 weeks (dell studio), but the one prior that that (dell latitude) in less than a week. payment by cc.
