Laptops Dell Epp...

hey guys,
thnx for helpin me so far....
i am tendin on to buy XPS only....i cant afford the hp dv5 1015 one.....
also i have an option of gettin an EP discount on XPS...

is it worth to get the laptop in sumothr's name??
will i be able to avail all the customer service avalable??

also i have heard that later on u can change the owner name online.....
is it true???

P.S. i will be gettin da XPS 1530 in 51k wid EPP....

plzzzzz suggest people.....
 
The XPS has the 8600M GT GPU which has a high failure rate so you will need customer support when the GPU fails and overheats ur mobo.

If you still are keen on getting it I think you should at least get it with a 3 yr warranty.

i seriosly regard ur thots...

but m tryin to ask if i go for dell EPP discounts with any othr dell lappy in the employee's name...
will that pose a problem...????
i have also heard that the ownership can be changed nytym later on..
 
If you are ok with Integrated graphics (Intel X3100) then you can choose from the DELL Inspiron or Studio series?
Also Studio is the only one which gives you an ATI GPU (less powerful that the nVidia 8600M GT though :()

You'll have to wait for a DELL owner to reply to the other question.
 
i dont wanna waste the EPP discount m gettin...
besides m really floored by the XPS1530 .... even m gettin dreams of it.....
wid prob 3 yrs warranty....

please sum DELL employee help me out in the EPP confusion of ownership....?????
