Also for delivery to Bihar, they used to ask for some sales tax form and permit which is available only after paying 4%, i.e. almost 2000 to the local sales tax office. Can you please confirm if I'll have to do that?

FYI- for Bihar delivery you need get a J-VAT from the local sales tax office.
 
the price drops are actually a smart tweaking on the part of dell... they've downgraded a few options/removed a few standard features of the models and reduced the price.

for example, the Studio 15 used to have the palmrest with fingerprint reader as standard, if not, it was an option. Now they're brought the price down a little, but sadly they no longer offer the fingerprint reader as an option even leave alone standard
 
dell is definitely up to something. They did the same with the LCD market. Started off at great value for money prices and then went on to higher prices at bigger margins it seems
