Hi All

After considering HP, Lenovo, MSI, etc. I have finalized on a Dell Inspiron Mini 10.

Primary use would be Office Applications, Internet, & occasional movies and music. Couldn't think of a higher one due to budget constraints. Just needed some pointers on what things I should keep in mind while ordering.

If ordered online, does Dell offer any discounts?

How is the warranty support by Dell?

I have heard that the Accident Coverage insurance is pretty comprehensive and reliable. For around 500 more, I feel it is worth going for the cover.

Any other points would be great.

Thanks.

Nope. :(

You could try for a corporate discount though.

Pretty good.

Yep, worth the premium.

1.You wont get any discounts for buying through Dell website. If you can get any dell person to buy the laptop then you will get a decent discount on the website price. Also, i have read somewhere that you can get some discount if you order via phone.
2.The after sales support provided by Dell is excellent, they provide onsite warranty, that is first you call them for any problem you have like Dvd writer or anything, then they will come to your home and replace that part and there is no need of going to service centres like other brands.
3.Accidental warranty for just 500 more is very good, just go for it.

Thanks a ton for responding..

I think I'll try my luck with the sales representative for discounts when he calls up.
