I have been looking for an economical 17inch lappy to use at home-basically in order to keep at home- surf- may be watch a movie once in a while. I have a MSI X-340 13inch lappy for portability, but for home use feel a larger screen will be better.
Just come across this on ebay

nice pick for 30 k .....only warranty seems to be a problem as it is from seller !!
wish it had a some powerful gpu,,,,would have been a really good buy then !!

Dealer states

"In case of any problem during warranty period we arrange a free door steep pickup anywhere in india at our own risk. We don’t want our buyers to step out from their home for any problem with the product. !!"

This is what you should be doing. You can even buy a Keyboard and Mouse if you like. Difference between a 24" display and a 17" display is huuuuge. It will be very simple to use the Monitor as an external display.
