Laptops Dell laptop:charger is off when connected to laptop?

One liners will not help .Try to add as much as info possible as in when it started happening and what is happening,what is your laptop model no??,did u try using a different adapter and so on..

model Dell xps. when i try to recharge it the charger turned off. I used another charger and similar problem found.................

check if the disable battery charging option is enabled in the Dell battery meter utility.

if the charger automatically turns off, then there will be some fault in the lap board, its short that why the charger turns off automatically.Plz check your lap with a technician

this is a problem with your Motherboard in your laptop is common amoung most Dell laptops if you are in warranty contact dell ts and they will change the motherboard.

What i said only applies your charger LED GOES OFF WHEN YOU PLUGIN to the laptop.

I am a dell Employee.. i guess it is the problem with motherboard, try powerin on the system with only adapter and see if it works fine..if it does not power on there are 99% chances of faulty motherboard, call up our tech support team we can help you with more troubleshooting steps no is 18004254026 (we work from 9-6 working days)
