Laptops Dell Laptops from US

Hi,

My brother is coming back from the US next month. I see some really good deals on Inspiron 6400 laptop on the Dell US site. 700 USD gets you 1 GB RAM and a DVD burner. A similar spec configured on the Dell India site is over 55K.

Is it worth the risk? In case of any issues, will Dell honour the warranty in India and will they repair it free of charge?

nothe laptops dont hold international warranty...so anything u get here is on your own risk....no support from Dell India for that product
 
my above post was for the regular warranty...you need to cough up extra $$ for international warranty....correct me if i am wrong

no u dont. all have international warranty. only thing extra u get here is that u get on site warranty where i think the dell guy comes within a day if u have a problem. the international warranty will take a little longer for u to get your problem fixed. not worth the extra 20-30k.
