Hi,

My CRT 19" just conked it and I'm looking for two new monitors.

I've home-down on 2 that interest me.

Dell U2311 or U2312 (IPS panel)
http://accessories.ap.dell.com/sna/sna.aspx?c=in&cs=indhs1&l=en&s=dhs&~topic=ultrasharp_monitor
Rs.15,000 quote - too high.

OR
Dell ST2220M (LED/LCD)

The second monitor...for backup PC
Dell IN2030M

Rs.6000, seems like a good quote.
I'm a photography enthusiast and since coming from CRT background do not like the silly colour-shifts, but the price needs to be right. If it is not then non-ips LED-LCD of dell will do I guess.

Honestly, I would buy a 27" TN panel over a quality 23/24" monitor. However, that is just me. If you want a high quality eIPS 23", then that Dell is probably the best in your budget. :) And these are eIPS which isn't the same as the much higher quality SIPS of Dell U2711. And IPS panels do have worse lag no matter what you read or here. My current IPS has far more input lag for gaming compared to my previous low quality TN panel. And lag makes the game less smooth to play.

However, I don't notice any ghosting with my U2711.

OP please go with dell u2410, hands down the best or else if you budget is expandable ;-) then u2711 all the way. If both are not your option then you may want to check my pm to something new, Im strugling to post pics for this but cant, hence check my pm and let me know hows it ;-)

Cheers

Ohhh just got Dell U2312H from ebay gazetguru. He's offering for the BEST RATES anywhere under Rs.14k. In Mumbai and Dell itself is selling the same IPS panel for 15k
