ok i was almost decided on the 15 inch dell 1525 with 3gb ram and 250hdd one. as far as i saw i loved it and everything i needed in it as well. downside i have no option for gfx card at all in that. total cost i am getting it for 43k, anything cheaper in bombay please let me know. though i came across HP DV9701AX and i was impressed. it was a 17 incher which is okay i do not carry my laptop at all. it had gfx card 256mb one and ran on amd x2 1.9ghz. only 1gb ram though. very confused please help. also i wanted one with a hdmi only. they both cost 43k as of now. as of now i am leaning towards the dell in red :)

the above is what i want but the problem is after i click mumbai the price goes to 47000. and vashi goes to 43000. anyway around this. is there still a go for this. please let me know thanks. on prime a similar one is for 44000

but the funny bit is they say optional webcam and stuff which i do not understand why as it should be a part of it. also the proccy on prime site is 5850 and dell site it is 5750. i cant decide now

Good quality, sexy after sales service.. more customization options and good prices compared to HP and other brands for equivalent configs.

Try out for Dell Studio 15...thatz the one even am planning for.
 
ok then dell it is. 1525 is for aorund 45k and studio is around 50k and 52 with the graphic card. i dont know the differece to spend another 7k for a similar model

how and where is he from ? i am getting the studio for 49500 without ati card. i am still thinking of getting inspiron for around 43000. it solves my purpose. i might get a discount on 43k as well. need to check first. studio has slot drive which i am thinking how long before it conks off since dust might pop in and has no svideo output too. i really cant decide. i need for internet surfing and movies.

final prices are like

inspiron 1525 : 43000 discount pending, so with discount maybe 40 or 41k
studio 15 : 49000 with discount.
 
i am getting this for 52ooo. please advise if its worth or not.

Where are you from aryan?? and is your base quote (ie. w/o taxes and all) is going above 48k ??

i am from bombay. and the worst bit dell prices have gone up now. i was planning for a studio but as of now im gonna put this on hold now. i wish i had bought last week. now 1525 is going upto 46ooo. really bad..... and yes my quote is goning a lil above 48k
 
should i get a dell inspiron 1525 3gb one or wait for centrino 2 chips to come out. i see no point spending 10k more on studio, i aint gaming on it anyways, please advise soon planning to get dell today
 
i'd recommend get what you are getting 2day...if u w8 for the tech u never gonna get hold of it anyday.

2ndly c2 is released from Lenovo, etc in US...god knows when its gonna come to our gr8 country.

3rd point...if u aint gonna game on studio then go for this:

yes i know that dell im looking for the studio one as of now. not sure if the price will cut in august. since dell prices are valid till 1 august. this is harrowing the best bit is that hdmi out on both these dells dont have audio out so my main reason is also void
