Another issue with the S2240L is that it lacks VESA mounts. So, you will not be able to use most of the dual monitor rigs.

Why don't you purchase a new one? Dell provides good customer support. They provide replacement for faulty monitors. I don't think anyone sell a Dell monitor in warranty period.
