I wanted to get Dell S2240l monitor as it's IPS but, it was not in stock and the dealer told me that Dell S2440l is sort of the same monitor with a bigger screen size, I could not do a lot of research then and I got the Dell S2440l instead.
When I plugged it in at home, I was a little shocked to see the display quality and found out that its's not IPS but VA panel that this model is using and backlight bleeding as well, pictures below:
The whites looks a little pale, I know there are different presets available but even the display of my Dell 14'' LED laptop looks better, is that the general case?!
I spoke to him and he agreed that it's a different panel and he is sort of ready to take it back, so my question is, is there a significant difference between the display quality of the two?
My primary usage is not gaming as of now, I spend a lot of time doing research work, reading basically... after 4-6 months I might get a GFX Card for gaming needs, but yeah that's just recreational stuff nothing hardcore.
What do you guys suggest shall I do? Get it changed for Dell 2240l? at this point I cannot really spend anymore money to look for a different option unfortunately.
