Finally we can have all DeLL related info on one Page:ohyeah:

SO here's how it goes:-

Anyone who has dealt with dell has some insiders in dell or Has some guidance or experience to share with us can come here n just speak it out.(or maybe write it ???:D )

It can be any thing For example:-

1) Buyin Something from dell. Procedure , time taken , specific cases etc

2) HOw to bargain wid dell agents or name n number of some good dell agents.

3) When is the best time to buy (My friend tells me @ the end of the month cause they have sales targets to achieve n u have a tight budget..if u get my drift...lol)

4) Jus ANy CRap related to DeLL...Product specific or not...Anything!!!

I believe It'l help People Understand DELL better n Benifit From it....

(Also means lesser disturbance from noobs like me, regarding DeLL:ohyeah: :bleh: :tongue: ;)

service from dell is excellent...they deliver before the promised date and their support is fantastic....only wish there was a buy back policy as my heart is set on the XPS M1330 and i just bought a M1210 few months back :(
 
^ Ditto... that XPS M1330 teases the hell out of me, but M1210 sitting on other desk looks at me with watery eyes... worrying about getting replaced. :ohyeah:
 
Every company has Weekly / monthly / quarterly targets best time would be last friday of month, or quarter. That is when the sales guy will be at his "weakest" and which company does not want to report good quarter sales ?

What you mentioned is right. But revenue recognition closes 2 weeks b4 the qtr end in most of the sales org's. Thus, sales guys aren't under pressure at all at this time, which results in no discounts.

Dunno about Dell, but in other companies it does not close 2 weeks in advance. Its on till the last day / last hour, so long as they can ship it out.

Maybe 2 weeks for Dell cause they need the time to ship it out, and their accounting must be based on Shipping date.

In which case, can move to the 3rd last friday of the Quarter :D

I wish there was some way to upgrade my Dells innards - since the platform is the same, I wonder if I can get a new mobo from somewhere. Any Ideas? :ohyeah:
 
I've been drooling over the M1330 for almost 2 months now! Only problem is i wanna get it with the WLED screen and that costs 11500 bux more :( if only it dropped by a couple of thousand bucks :(

One thing about Dell is that you can really bargain a lot with their sales guys, I was able to fetch Leather Bag, AV cable kit with my XPS M1210. :D

How many people here have have/used/experienced Dell E228WFP panel?

and how would you Rate it against VS VX2245WM panel?

And what optional accessories you can get with Dell panel?
 
No idea abt pannel,,, but yeah dell is a bargainers paradise...

N u cud hav got a lot more dan a bag i got abt rs5000 off the price dat the website showed...
N now additional warranty...

u jus need to get to the right guy...
Any one has/is a direct sale rep in dell...

If u hav den u can hav some serious discounts...trust me on dis one..
 
DEll does offer great value, performance and service...

It is just that the design of the inspiron series does leave a lot to be desired... it looks like two thick slabs stuck together..... the 1520 is so powerful, yet I dont like the way it looks..and in laptops , looks matter more then anything else...
