^ You can upgrade it to 2.1 .I did it when I had it in my hands for a week .Trust me on this ,its one of the most beautiful phones Ive ever used.Everything about it is perfect. The touch , the brilliant screen ,sound quality ,battery life isn't bad either. Only problem I had , it looked too huge in my tiny hands and ofcourse wont fit comfortably in a jeans pocket.

Anyone who needs something this big, this is the perfect thing to get :D .

Didn't have my cam with me at that time and was real busy with shifting to new place, college etc. :P I can still borrow it from another friend and maybe post some snaps of the device , UI etc but then you can find the same anywhere on the internet as well.

You do that Faheem. That ll be nice. :)

Pics clicked with some reference like coke can or something similar and you know the works. TE deserves its own DELL Streak pics.

not that i am a huge fan of putting load on image hosting sites but what the heck, maybe i ll let my rules be relaxed just this once :P

Really was looking forward to Streak being priced at abt 28k and pick it up. But at 35k, i think i ll be content with pics and wait till Santa decides to pay me a visit.

Will wait until t drops to 25K or so

:) Looks good though(As it gets froyo by year end)

It also has 2GB for Apps and free 16GB scd card(expandable upto 32Gb)

Also will get HD recording

A good phone but pricey.

Comes with Gorilla Glass for Added safety

I'd seen some video review of the Dell Streak with demonstrating the Gorilla Glass. Nice concept. But it's ridiculously sized for a phone. You'd feel weird putting that thing to your ear. It's more suited as a personal entertainment device. What's the battery life like? With that kind of screen size, I don't think it would last long.

Going by the AnandTech review, this is one to be avoided considering there are better handsets in the market and even better ones coming up.

Dell SB website was offering a sweet deal a couple of days back - buy Dell Streak for $592 with free shipping and get a $100 Dell gift card free. I was very tempted to pull the trigger, but thankfully read the AnandTech review in time.

^ It's a bit of a niche device. Had this been available earlier, I would be confounded between the Galaxy S, HTC Desire and the Dell Steak. Luckily one less choice made it slightly easier (I went with the Desire). From my perspective the size is a bonus, as anyway I use a bluetooth headset, which IMHO is a far better way to talk.

Dell is planning more such sets keeping in view the rivalry with Apple's ipad.

More such sets with bigger as well as smaller screen are in the pipeline from what i have read.

But tbh, for somebody who wants to have a way with the pdf files in your nice cozy quilt during the winters and also have a facility of a goodish 3G device for video calling in the future, i think this seems perfect. You can tuck it on the side table/drawer and not be bothered by the thought of accommodating your slate of an ipad. Very specific user base for this device and i was very much a potential customer, but the price tag really spoiled the party.

yea, got it from grey market, 26k inlcuding class 4 16gb microSD and turbo sim, lemme remind you guys TURBO SIM or UNIVERSAL SIM or any other cheap brand unlock sim doesn't work with dell, only buy rebel sim if you are planning to buy streak :)

I am definitely not buying it for 35k.....

Make it 25-28k & I may consider it..... :P

Any phone above 30k is either Hype or Apple & either way, it ultimately boils down to HYPE......!!! Lolzzz :P

:D
