Just Have a look at the thread 100% says there is nonsense amount of

tinting issues + Uneven backlighting

see all those pics blue on the left and yellow on the right which can be really annoying (few says all opposite)

i am lil worried now wat to do ....of course there is no dead pixel problem reported but back-light bleed is more of a problem for me....is 2209WA better at this point with proper calibration + overclocking which is readily available compared to the U2311H

whats the dell exchange Policy if we are not happy with the panel we received wats the procedure of its exchange?pls write in detail

Yes there are a lot of tinting issues with these monitors. Its amazing how these passed the QC. In the beginging it was said it has the same panel as the NEC monitors which also had some tinting issues but nothing mojor like this. Though the tints dissapear if you use the Display port but still dont go away. I think its a bad idea to get this monitor as of now.
Oh bty i doubt that dell will take back this monitor just cuz of tinting. They have a Dead pixel warranty but no support for this. also the thing is that even if u manage to return it you will stlil get a piece with same problem or enchanced.

what is the problem with these IPS panel? was planning to buy one...which is a better option= TN or IPS for gaming & movies ?

no doubt IPS is anyday better but i felt a bit short where the TN uses the LED backlighting if only we consider backlighting dept. but tinting itself affects the color accuracy on these IPS (but it will still be like twice as good as TN) for movies specially I HATE BACK-LIGHT BLEEEEEEEEDING

@ iamddevil - thnks

can any one confirm this if its the same also wat if we exchange after 30days .....i heard that we get refurbished is it true?

@ apextwin146 - thnks but thats the issue whether they will exchange/refund or not i dont want to waste my money onto a product which has so many Quality issues

quite happy with 17" CRT

an interesting thing i found HP monitors like W1707 thou its a 17inch it is too good for no reason no matter they uses TN or not vga or hdmi maybe the dot per inch plays a part dunno
