I bought a Dell U2410 for my brother a few months back and he has been completely satisfied with it. During his exams, I have been using it for a while and I really like the resolution. I feel more productive :)

I would like to go for a U2410 but I am not that much in need of color accuracy. SMC international has U2412 for around Rs.20,000 and I am thinking of saving Rs.10,000 by choosing U2412 over U2410.

But my question is, is it worth going for U2410? If it is, then I do not hesitate to spend an extra Rs.10,000 for it.

Also I may go for a dual monitor in the near future. So I expect that the model should not be outdated soon. I prefer having the exact same model as the second monitor.

Also suggest where to buy it?

Is this a good deal?

I hope this would clear things up,go for dell u2410[H-IPS,HDMI port and 2 DVI ports],Dell u2412 is cheaper cause it's e-ips with No HDMI ports, 1 DVI port. The dell u2410 is totally worth going for, with it's H-ips technology color accuracy and more-http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2410.htm

Considering that color accuracy is not a concern for me, and as well as connectivity... what else are the benefits of U2410?

My only need is resolution - working space.

have a look at smc international

they have dell monitors

if color accuracy is not an imp point then the 2412 is a good monitor also but the way i look at it is

1) u loose the hdmi port

2) if u can manage to extend the budget and get the 2410 then why not get it. in the long run it will pay off :)

I cannot understand the need for HDMI port. A cable with DVI in one end and HDMI in the other end pretty much makes up for it right?
