A suggestion. Convert this to a dell u2410 by going through RMA if you have any defects with your 2408. The new one will be most probably a dell u2410 rev A10 . Then you can sell it at a better price. Saying this because I recently replaced my 2408 because it had issues.

Wont be a U2410, you will get U2408 only if you RMA... the policies seem to have changed now.... they had seen many people getting free 2410 upgrades hence they have stopped it and moreover 24"08" was released in 2008 and was discontinued in 2009 late and it should have 3 years warranty by default, going by that 2009 +3years = 2012,2408S must be out of warranty currently unless it was purchased specifically with 5 years warranty
 
No, I bought 2408 from the same seller in the same GO as the OP. Just 2 weeks back I got my 2408 replaced with a brand new u2410. FYI the GO had a special warranty of 5 years mentioned in the bill.
