hey guys finally recevied my dell vostro laptop but the worst part is that it doesnt have xp drivers,please help me so that i can download xp drivers and with sound drivers and stuff, please guys help its really urgent ,

if any body could help me in installing xp with drivers that too will be gr8 as i am from mumbai only

as i told u earlier i installed the winxp without any problem!!

For sound driver we faced a problem related to conexant sound driver in winxp sp2(DELL Vostro A840). Conexant sound driver is not working. Once i install the audio driver the system replys cannot find the media device. Again we goggled it, and found a solution(mentioning below in steps to apply the solution).

1. remove sound drive(if installed )

2. Download driver sp32646.exe (Other link: link )

3. then download sp34386exe (Other link: link , link)

4. install both of them(same order)

5. then install DELL DRIVERS Conexant Audio driver & Conexant Modem driver .

insert the windows bootable xp cd and then install it and then do the above steps!

driver sp32646.exe

then download sp34386exe

just google for these drivers and then install ur normal drivers from the dell resource cd
