Hi there,
My friend wants a desktop, budget is 30K

Uses: MS-Office and Internet Surfing, movies and music and little bit of VB programming.

I checked out the Zenith one ,
Dual Core processor (2.4GHz i guess)
256 MB ram (extra 1700 for 512MB in place of 256, and 3700/- for 1 GB)
intergrated sound and graphics card
17inch monitor CRT - samsung manufactured
modem, LAN card.
3 years warranty on hardware including monitor

Total price 26K

whats ur say ? people ? are there any other options ?

should i try laminton instead ?

Thats totally outdated config and you will be paying way too much for the same.

Get your rig assembled.

Get AMD X2 3600+ Brisbane core.

jetway M2A692-GDG motherboard.

1GB DDR2 667 RAM.

250 or even 320GB HDD.

Generic cabinet with powersafe 400watt SMPS.

KB and mouse of your choice.

CRT/ LCD of your choice.

And all that will come within 30k.

thanks a lot man ..really thanks ...i guess i need to check out laminton in mumbai , there is no probs with the AMD processor , rt ?
also if u can suggest me a good laptop for 50K would be gr8, (i knw this is not the section for laptop) , but please :)
 
yep....wld suggest wat funky said.....grt VFM rig IMO.....

EDIT : no probs with AMD man....

laptop....depends on the kindof portablity u want....many options are available.....post a query in laptop section and let the information flow in.....check out some threads in laptop section b4 u post tho
