hey u all masters

i have a 512 mb pen drive
it has some prob with it lik it sometimes show unknown usb device and all
i asked the vendor but he says it is a minor fault and if ur p.d is fully unusable then give it back to us

now the favour i want frm u guys is that to tell me how to destroy the pen drive with the help of my computer (plz dont say lik bang it with hammer and all)

it would be better if u just tell me the way so that the process is reversible :ohyeah: (as if in case the donot replace it)

yes you are right...

and i dont know a way to destroy a pen drive in reversable way :S

maybe u can flash it with a corrupt firmware or soemthing...
 
If it's not working in the first place, why would you want to destroy it? And if you *destroy* it, how can you expect it to be recovered? :D Pay close attention to the language... *destroying* means breaking something to a level that it becomes useless, so how can we possibly reverse destruction? :P

Why can't you simply hide it (or ask someone to hide it) until you decide to use it in future? Maybe bury it in your backyard under the rose plant so nobody will find it :rofl:
 
no Rio , he says he wants to *somehow* damage the thing so that he can get a new piece ..

yea , go with Rave's suggestion , flash it with a wrong firmware and this is probably reversible hehe
 
First of all i think u dont have USB drivers installed :P and even if the pen drive was faulty which in turn means its already "DESTROYED" u cannot destroy it again :S..of course u can iterate destruction by using a corrupt firmware like rave said..other than that bury it :rofl: or give the pen drive a bath :rofl:
 
OK, I read through the message too fast... Rave's suggestion is good so all the best getting a new drive :D
 
hey guys thnx for giving me ur valuable time but i just said i will prefer being the process reversible if not its no problem just tell me how to destroy it and if u can
and RAVE plz tell me how to change the firmware i have a quantum 512 hi speed usb drive ( as on the cover )
