Damn last night I hardly slept... was glued to the game!! Just got into Singapore, things are heating up now. :)

But I have a question:

Is it even possible to take down all the soldiers in a full-stealthy way quickly when saving Malik's chopper goes down and you need to save her (at the start of the level where you need to find Vasili Sevchenko's GPL device)? I had to resort to sniping and killing guys hiding behind walls as it's much quicker. I attempted stealth take-down's sneaking around but it took considerably longer and by that time Malik's chopper was toast.

Don't think it's possible, atleast not on the hardest difficulty. I tried to tranq the guys with the heavy rifles, but they wouldn't go down with a single shot. It's imperative that you kill them asap. Plus when the robot comes if you don't divert it's attention, the plane IS going to blow up no matter what.

Every game that I'm playing these days is based on the same framework in terms of story. A guy with a god complex, who believes that suffering and killing will lead to a better world and then you get to save the whole world by foiling his plans. Yes this game does "tell the story" well but the story itself is nothing new. It started real strong ,but got weak towards the end.

The graphics are slightly dated and at times break the immersive experience. Seeing Jenson's hand go through a man's face during a take-down is funny. Try take-downs on a staircase, you'll know what I'm talking about.

I enjoyed myself right until the Singapore missions, after which the game seemed to stretch. I had the augmented edition so I had to play through one extra mission.

My rating would be an 8.3/10
Edit ::

Important for completionist(s).

To get the Forgotten Acquaintances quest you need to return to Jensen's office to READ THE EMAILS sent to Sarif from Brent Radford. If this is not done the second part of the quest WILL NOT TRIGGER upon the return to Detroit. The emails cannot be read after the return because the Sarif building will be locked out due to the riots. This is only possible if you were able to get Sarif to divulge the secrets.(You should get the "Yes boss" achievement)

What mission was that?

I think it's a mission from Tong Si Hung involving Tracer Tong before you head into the Hengsha Seaport to place the explosive and board the pod. I saw the mission on Youtube a few days back.

Finding Tong's son who's being held captive.

The loading screen indicated something like 'Thank you for pre-ordering the game; the bonus mission is being loaded'. :P

did you preorder the game from india? in retail?

Finally, playing this one on the Desktop.

BIG PROBLEM: After the first prologue/intro level, the next level loads, and I am greeted by an endless BLACK SCREEN with audio in the background.

any idea how to fix this?

Damn... that's bad! Try turning off AA and see.

How long would the game take? I have limited time. I want to touch the entire story of the game, leave out the additional side quests.

^^ Without the side quests, not sure maybe 20 hours. But the side quests are so riveting and fun to do... leaving them would be a real downer.
