More like living rashly but realizing before you really go over the limit..Since he was a rich guy, his limits were a bit far:P

The bane and the boon of the movie is that the actual substance of the last hour of the movie was that car crash..everything else was just a slow road towards it..

That ending leaves you thinking there shud have been something more substantial to make him realize his pathetic condition, while it also makes the ending free of the regular masala..

You know, there is no such thing as 'undeserved happiness'. Everyone deserves it no matter what.
The movie was about whether Dev finally found love or not. In the end he still had to face a judge for his actions; finding love didn't magically make everything in his life alright.

I for one didn't feel it should've been 30 minutes shorter and thoroughly enjoyed watching Dev self-destruct to that fantastic soundtrack.

10/10

4/5 from me.

I loved the movie. The music is the highlight of the movie. At no point did I feel bored or anything.

The ending wasnt the best though. That soundtrack though is among the absolute best in ANY movie. Hindi or not!

Yesterday i saw this over hyped movie. This was total waste of cash for me. Except abhay deol's acting and lil bit from chanda and paro i dint find this movie worth..Did i pay to see abhay deol to do the fags and doping.Every sec he starts faggin or drinking. TOI is gone insane to give this movie a 5 rating.its not even worth 1...:@ .total waste of cash. 20 ppl odd were ther to watch this movie in adlabs nite show.Too bad i just had 60 ml of vodka and i think i shud have had more,so that i would atleast be able to sit and laugh atleast.. I had gone wit 4 of my frens. 2 of them were like y the hell did u get us to this shit movie.Ending was hopeless.why the hell they have they given A rating there was nothing in this also except some slangs. Hopeless movie waste of time not even time pass.My rating 2/5:no: :S :@ :@ :@ Giving 2 coz of the song emotional athyachar , abhay deol and mahi .Nothing in this...BTW U call this a movie eh??? worst movie of Bollywood i feel...

I became an Abhey Deol Fan when I saw Ek Chalis ki last Local, Manorama Six feet Under was the second one to hit my nerves and then came oye lucky........

This guy has that rustic charm and ease in front of camera which makes you feel he is natural, he does not Ham like sunny, overact like bobby and no no he does not do action like Dharam paaji.

Here again he blasts your senses in Dev D esp the Wedding scene when glugs Vodka , Pukes and then Falls flat in front of the Baraat, the Body language ..... It is a Winner for different yet nice Cinema.....
And to top Mahi and Kalki have come tops too, what girls man, graceless but raw acting...No melodramatic hams et al

You should first learn to type proper sentences, no wonder you didn't get the movie.

This is for you :)

Take it light-heartedly please !

The use of ellipses can either mislead or clarify, and the reader must rely on the good intentions of the writer who uses it. An example of this ambiguity is "She went to…school." In this sentence, "…" might represent the word "elementary." Omission of part of a quoted sentence without indication by an ellipsis (or bracketed text); e.g., "She went to school." as opposed to "She went to Broadmoor Elementary school." would mislead the readers.

An ellipsis at the end of the sentence that ends with a period (or such a period followed by an ellipsis) appears as four dots....

An ellipsis may also imply an unstated alternative indicated by context. For example, when Count Dracula says "I never drink … wine", the implication is that he does drink something else, which in the context would be blood. In such usage the ellipsis is stronger than a mere dash, where for example "I never drink — wine" might only indicate that the Count, not a native English speaker, was pausing to get the correct word.

In writing the speech of a character in fiction or nonfiction, the ellipsis is sometimes used to represent an intentional silence of a character, usually invoked to emphasize a character's irritation, appall or disgust in regard to the surroundings.

Edit: Some more from the article -

According to Robert Bringhurst's Elements of Typographic Style, the details of typesetting ellipses depend on the character and size of the font being set and the typographer's preference. Bringhurst writes that a full space between each dot is "another Victorian eccentricity. In most contexts, the Chicago ellipsis is much too wide" — he recommends using flush dots, or thin-spaced dots (up to one-fifth of an em), or the prefabricated ellipsis character (Unicode U+2026, Latin entity …). Bringhurst suggests that normally an ellipsis should be spaced fore-and-aft to separate it from the text, but when it combines with other punctuation, the leading space disappears and the other punctuation follows. He provides the following examples:

i … j k…. l…, l l, … l m…? n…..!

In legal writing in the United States, Rule 5.3 in the Bluebook citation guide governs the use of ellipses and requires a space before the first dot and between the two subsequent dots. If an ellipsis ends the sentence, then there are three dots, each separated by a space, followed by the final punctuation.

I don't think there is need for using good grammar on TE or the internet in general as long as the message gets across.

but...a properly...constructed sentence. Is easier; to understand...than one - which is...not!

Don't you think so? ;)

Or a wrong message, or a malformed message, or a misunderstood message or a hard-to understand message... but as long as message gets accross, right?

It's not necessary for everyone to be tip-top perfect in grammer, but the least one can do is form their sentences properly. If you're really THAT ignorant to do that... well, you catch my drift?

^^ Bang on, most of us will just skip a post without proper sentence construction. Its partly due to the fact, that in a normal sentence you do not need to read every word, to understand the meaning. But sentences which are not constructed you need to read every alphabet to decipher it. Its a pain....
