Devil May Cry 4 not running above 1280x1024 on Vista

Okey,

New day new problem. I was happily playing Devil May Cry on my PC on XP at 1900x1200 yesterday when i thought maybe i can make the game look a bit more better by playing on Dx 10 in Vista. So i installed Vista and loaded all the drivers with Dx and then launched the game.

The game does not allow me to set resolutions higher then 1280x1024 in Vista which same works great on XP. What could be the problem here. In Xp the same gamefolder works at 1900x1200 and works great(without any crashes).

My Config:

C2D 8400 @ stock

2 GB DDR2

ASUS P5B Dlx

HD 4870 on Cat 8.7

Dell E248WFP

Latest Dx gets installed by default when you install Devil May Cry 4

Did u try forcing it ??

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\CAPCOM\DEVILMAYCRY4

In the config.ini look for [DISPLAY] , change the resolution line to

Resolution=1900x1200

Save the file and you're ready to go.

PS : Set the refresh rate to 60 Hz in game .. it might give u the res.
