DFI Crossfire Motherboard Appears for Pre-Order
Posted by: XtremeNews on Tuesday, August 09, 2005 - 06:56

ATI has already announced that motherboards for its Multi-GPU platform, named Crossfire, will become available to consumers sometime in September. However, on the heels of this long awaited release, XtremeSystems Member Sheik has found one of the most anticipated versions of these motherboards from DFI for pre-order on TekHeads, a Online UK Computer Hardware Store. Please Click the Headline for more info.

Crossfire is ATI's response to Nvidia's SLI, which has had its own platform out for quite a while. Though ATI has been playing "catch-up" to Nvidia over the course of 2005, this can only be a good thing for overclockers wanting to see the potential of Multiple ATI Graphics Cards for optimal gaming and benchmark performance.

You can read more about the Pre-Order in detail and find the link to it [rank=www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?p=994647#post994647]here[/rank].

I think Darky has just gotten hold of some next-gen stuff. Procs/motherboards/RAM that we arent going to see in the next 2 years :O - no wonder he's so calm about not upgrading for the next 2 years!

ok now. i think we need to stop ;)
Anyway that sempron is not for his main machine.
Hes mostly gona use it in his office PC.

Ok, no offence Darky, please don't make statements like "I am not going to upgrade for the next two years" cause they really don't sound good...

Hope you got the point :D
