Overclocking

Overclocking seems to be a little disappointing with this board.

With 5x HTT Multiplier, I can run 220HTT all day. Higher than that it is not so stable. That is a total of 1100Mhz of Hyper Transport speed and it is pretty much where the nForce 4 board goes as well on the 5x HTT Multiplier.

With 4x and 3x HTT Multiplier, i can go up to 270MHz HTT stably. Higher than that it does not even detect my hard disk after the bios boot up.

I've tried a lot of different settings in the bios in order to get HTT higher than 270Mhz but failed to do so. Perhaps more time is needed in order to find the settings that will pass this barrier. I have a feeling it is due to an unlocked PCI bus but sadly, there does not seem to be an option for PCI bus speed nor PCI Express Bus speed in the present BIOS. Hopefully, a new bios will have these options.

There are no working ClockGens with this board as well. We are still waiting for Franck of CPUID fame to prgram one for the ICS951446 clock generator on this board. The bundled software of the DFI also does not include any clock adjustment software

Yep initial testing with this board seems to be disappointing. I remember reading up on DFI Street where even angry_games himself was having trouble pushing the board. Moreover the board was acting very finicky with TCCD (the RAM that *most* people seem to use) but could run fine with the Crucial Ballistix series (won't Chaos be thrilled :p ).

People at XS Forum told that
It seems that the PCI bus is unlocked , hard drive could not be detected after 270HTT.

A new bios fixing the PCI bus lock will allow the board to go higher.
