Hi guys,

Here I am again:ohyeah:. Looking at new limited edition overclocker friendly board from DFI which can really make one of the fastest system. This test/review sees clocking a FX-60 to insane speeds and even 7900GTXs in SLI.

VR-ZONE:

The DFI Venus is really a premium board targeted at fans, not just of overclocking, but of the DFI brand name. Through a series of LAN Party motherboards, DFI has built for themselves a huge fan base among the enthusiasts. We take a look at this limited edition board from them, named Venus...

Overall, it was quite a tedious job extreme cooling and overclocking on so many components, but as always at VR-Zone, we'd do anything for that extra MHz! The DFI Venus proved to be a pretty fun board to overclock on once I got the settings figured out, and to bring that old FX60 to 3584MHz consistently benchmarking, I'm quite pleased with my special limited edition!

If you dont already know, then let me inform you that almost every board is sold out of 1000 Limited-edition, except 30 something (last week I checked) still available in Singaopre at S$540.

excuse this but 'bloody hell' - 540$$ even singapore that a bundle....
May have been worth it for dfi fans... chaos...u seem very much to be 1.... maybe u could scare up a couple of these boards eh...:P

Actually it wasn't so bad.

A couple of guys at XS got the board for $250 on newegg.

AFAIK around 200 boards were sold on newegg so early guys got it..

The review is good..... The board looks awesome but I dont think it is worth it for just so few mhz more over the expert....

Now, the board to wait for is any of the RD580 mobos.

^^^ Exactly man.. from some1 using NFORCE4 Ultra/SLI based board already this does not seem a good option unless you are in the race to capture the top spot. RD580... umm well that too is not so rocking unless you have decided not to opt for AM2 or Conroe this year :D

PS: I will like some rep guys... come on be generous.. I want to HIT 1000 nickels with about 330 Posts :p and for that I need some support :)

unless one is a dfi fan and collects dfi m/b as a hobby / passion i see no reason to spend 15K on this one in the current scenario of imminent changes.

ps: what if ItDepot guys import it ? what would be the listed price here....around 22K ??

@ Nikhil, thanks a lot dude. I see I have gone past 1000, that was fast man :D

Thanks for all the support guys, I really like it here :). Will try to keep up the good work in future too.

^^^ thank you, Sir. "Pati" or not :D... quality work done and helping some1 means a lot.

I am amazed the way Shamino is able to get higher OC+stability on card(s) when he pushed PCIE up. Strange thing, but who cares till it gets you top spot.
