Aaahhh..
THe Joys of passive cooling.....
The Power of Asus...lol
Sorry
Well i was also facing the similar problem,i just directed an 80mm Fan infron of the chipset cooler and disconnected the wire for the chipset fan.
ANd directed a 80mm fan on the PWM area. This way things remained cool and steady.

One thing i have observed is that when the Chipset and PWM areas are cooler, the board scales much higher and is more stable at those speeds too.

Just my 2 cents.

i think under normal circumstances it works fine .... i mean here even in very hot condition temps were max 45*c(on a very hot day) .... so i think with Air conditioning it will work fine :D ...

Aah.. FanLess design rocks :P...

I dont understand, how DFI temp's are so high, even with the Fans.

My Chipset never goes above 35 Degrees :/.

just try that heatsink on a NF4 chipset and u will see how temps increases ...... NF4 is one of the hottest chips around ..... and with SLI there is very little room for big heat sinks that y they come with small HS and noisey fans ...
