diablo 2 in Vista Not working??

i was trying to play Diable 2 in Vista but it says its not compatible ??
Can any1 provide me with any solutions to this?
I tried running it in compatibility mode of Xp but to no avail..

google search:

1.) Go into c:\program files\diablo II\ or wherever you have the game installed.

2.) Right click on "game.exe" and go to properties.

3.) Click on "Compatibility" tab

4.) Place a check in the box that says "Disable Desktop Composition"

5.) Click Apply. Click Ok.

6.) Run the game! It should load and play normally once this option is checked.

guys... same problem for me... running vista for long time and now dont want to go back to XP but want to play Diablo 2... please help...

well i got it working ... install the latest 1.11 patch i think and then place the * c r a c k * ..

did you applied after using cracked exe?
article says that after this patch you need to crack? is that true?

i am playing v1.11, works flawlessly in Vista 64 SP1
