Diff. Between Mx-5021 & Mx-5021e?

Is any diff between these two models??

Anybody pls explain in terms of performance and price????

There is a difference. In DIY logs, many have explained the difference between 2 versions of mx5021. Point comes here that there are 2 versions of mx5021 but unfortunatly I am not sure if the mx5021e is considered as second model or they redesigned mx5021's model. But the sound quality is pretty much the same though the second version of mx5021's buils quality has dropped down:
The newer batch of MX 5021 has a totally redesigned subwoofer and midwoofer cone. The cones on the newer ones are spherical with no flat surface on the centre whereas the old ones has a flat surface in the middle of the spherical cones. Other than that the crossover circuit is different and one of the opamp which some say is a good thing- but still the output is the same so it doesnt matter much.
In layman's man out of the 2 get the cheapest. But also make sure you have a good sound card as well to get good output.
taken fm another forum
ive been looking for these too, pricy man. i doubt u will find the mx-5021
theitdepot claims to have it but their prices are really really steep and i doubt the person who guarantees it knows anything bout what hes talking bout

theitwares rahuls got a good deal (~7k) but the shipping cost for this ~15kg thing is 900rs which ruins it. hoping he gets it on ebay someday when i get a hold of a good coupon

^Which forum mentions that?

There IS a considerable difference in the SQ of the original MX and the newer revision which's exactly why one might pay more for the older ones if purchased seconds/thirds/nth hand if I may add.

SQ is a bit different but not hugely iirc.

The change of shape in the drivers and the resultant sound has somehow been compensated for by the change in the electronics maybe.

Off late, i have seen quite a few roughly 3yrs old MX5021 go mute/dead.

Year old or older used ones sell for 3-4.5K odd as per the age and condition.

New MX5021 is 6.5K approx and it still sounds better than most of the sub 8K-10K stuff sold in the multimedia speakers market.. :)

For those not DIY-savvy and not wanting to bother too much with the modding-

Better to buy a new one with warranty after a thorough inspection at the retailer's place to rule out physical defects/damage as build quality is a bit down on the new stocks.

Some have found almost dissembled subs etc on opening up the package at their place and some have reported to have issues with the o/p at times with a sat not working, etc.

another user here pointed me to a local dealer here who gave me a price of Rs.6350!
just want experienced hands to tell me, do i go for it n mod it? will it be as good as the old MX-5021? or do i go for something else?
