Lian Li != Built like a tank. This is from a personal experience. But as far as cable management and cooling and modability (even support for modding) is concerned, yup Lian rules the roost.

OK now isn't the TJ10 just bigass with little else? Because I see a huge, server like chassis - don't want a well built, good looking Chieftec yaar.

Still its aluminium, so have added it to my list.

Anything else? What's this ABS canyon thingy about?

^^Bottle post pics please if you have high-res ones. Cannot find on the net, at least not worthy basing decisions on. Whatever I buy has to last me at least 3-4 years, no more uber cabinets till then.

To sum it up:

1) Good dust management
2) All Aluminium
3) Great cooling in terms of airflow/fan slots
4) At least cursory support for liquid cooling
5) Removable MB tray
6) Good looking (subjective)
 
Did anyone mention the P193?

Does look solid apart from the big crap jutting out the left door.

Satisfies almost all of vandals needs i guess.

PS:oops no removable mobo tray i guess.

The Cosmos S sucks for the record. I've tested both the older version and this. Not worth half the price of the RC 830.

Vandal, if you've around 22k to spend for a cabinet which'd probably be a lifetime investment, I say grab a Lian Li full tower off Fizzmall or KMD, whoever offers a low price shipped to your place.

I'd sent a quote to Fizzmall for a Lian Li full tower, a new dealer akin to KMD, and he replied with a 22k quote + local shipping. Honestly for once, I dont mind spending that much.

I'd opt for this instead of the ATCS any day! Heck I'm waiting for my permanent posting.

Else, just get the ATCS. :P
 
I like the Lian-Li X1000. How much would that one be?

Are these built really well? As in last 5-6 years...Never seen one in person.
 
I also looked at the PC A71, good looking in a plain, elegant non garish manner. Don't like the grill on the front of the other one. Promises to be a dust magnet. Till I ACfy my living room I'm not buying any friggin thing with extra, unnecessary vents...

BTW when you say small width, that's 230 mm, 23 cm. The same as the X2000. Is that less, it's like 9-inches.

Lian Li PC A71, PC-A70, PC-A17, PC-V1200 are all server chasis........Big is not necessarily better.

Lian Li gaming chasis which I like(sort of)....

I feel its worth than Lian Li-I dont like plane steel/aluminium boxes to be priced @ 20000Rs and look like a elcheapo server case @2000rs.:S
only go for it if u are keeping it for 10yrs:ohyeah:

I for one will never own a cabinet which does not have aggresive styling. Even HAF 32s will do.....but not plane-jane boxes.

according to a friend of SunnyBoi who owns a Soldam, Lian-Li & Silverstone the build quality of Soldam & Lian-Li is not the same as the past anymore & Silverstone is still built like a Tank

Yes Udit, thanks. I was reading comments and it seems the Lian-Li cabbies aren't very solid. Even models which claim at least 2mm aluminium all over are not very rigid and there is some flex. To be honest I could go up to 25K but for what? Hell, I'd go up to 30K if I thought I could live with the look and the build would last me for 10 years. But it seems their reputation has come under fire. The only cabby I really liked was the X1000 and that too might just have issues with the HDD trays and the length of SATA cables, not to mention optical drives.

Haven't been able to decide, which is bad and good. However, "requested" CM to send me their RC 832 and ATCS 840 for testing. Will see how the build quality is. I'm also trying to get in touch with Lian-Li to perhaps send us something for review ;) perks of the job?

^^Noted and thanks. Yes, I'd hate to pay 20K for a server chassis :P
