SNIPER and HAF have dust filters but i dunno if they are easily removable bcoz in sniper its not possible to remove.

both HAF & all Antec Gaming Cases have no filters

Spedo has

Its really a (dusty)nightmare for HAF 932, Antec 900/1200 cabby owners ie if u dont like opening cabinets and cleaning often. all these 3 awesome in air cooling but antec(older) cabinets had no holes for cable management.:(
For air cooling antec 1200 is the best out there.....I can vouch for tht as my 720BE never crosses 33C under load with passive heatsink-hyper TX(I never intended to run passively but by mistake i had disconnected the CPU fan and was running it for days without knowing. WIth CPU fan temp is max 27C.)

SNIPER and HAF have dust filters but i dunno if they are easily removable bcoz in sniper its not possible to remove.

If u are going for water cooling COSMOS is the best else plz stay away frm it.

Hmm thanks, thought it'd be a mid tower going by the pics n mobo sizes supported (ATX mATX). I expected a full tower to do a eATX.

I understand the dust perspective, only thing i was cautioning against was ignoring a case jut because they dont bundle dust filters. The flters are simple sponges which could be added later as well.

only Antec thinks about hard disk cooling but ignores space & cable management

Well, I think hdd cooling is more important for today's general purpose PC than anything else. You can ignore hdd cooling only if you're going to do just benching, and playing games. You'd probably just have a single hdd in that case.

But any regular PC user today is likely to have multiple hdds to hold his HD movies, as well as personal important data like photos, videos etc. Data which is either irreplaceable, or difficult to put together at the least.

Bikey pointed out to me that hdd cooling could be ignored because ambient temps in US and europe are around 20-25C. But we have to suffer ambients of 35-40C, which is not at all good for the HDDs :(

I find it funny that most review sites concentrate on cpu and gpu temps when testing thermal performance of a cabinet. While this is important, your gpu is certainly not going to die with a 5C rise in temps. But your hdd certainly can.

And I must congratulate you guys for making this as hard as possible. Damn, I'm reading up all I can and it's still taking me a good while to decide or come to any conclusion.

So far - CM STACKER RC 832, CM ATCS 840, Antec 1200, Lian-Li X-1000, Silverstone TJ10

Dismissed - Raven - innards to small, Antec 900 - tinny POS, features, Lian Li X2000 - less money, more brains :P,

if you want uniqueness buy Thermaltake Level 10 which is launching in 2 days 10 hours & 50 minutes but it has no HDD Cooling

out of current choices buy Antec 1200 or Silverstone TJ10 in my opinion

Over the 1200, leaning towards ATCS. It looks plain in pics, but a few days and CM should be sending me one for testing.

You are right about the built quality of Stackers. I own the stacker 830 evo and it looks like a bloody tank....heavy metal and nothing flimsy/flashy !! ..m gonna keep it for a looong time. :)

The negative for me, its a freakin dust magnet !!

If i were you, i would go with the Silverstone TJ10. Well built, spacious, classy and nothing flashy. :) (black)

Cheers.

OK update. Have the ATCS 840 in labs. Didn't like build quality. Sure is large, like the mobo tray, love the fans, love the filters on inlets. Do not love the cheap side panels and even the angles inside are not as solid as the RC 830. What now? ATCS 840 out of the running...

People stressing on HDD cooling must know that most HDD's optimal running temp. is around 40C, I have never used HDD cooling and have never had any HDD failure in the last 11 Years.....and I do not use single HDD but 3 HDDs.......

i'll strongly suggest you to go with Coolermaster ATCS 840.it's a KICKASS case if you'll be Air cooling your CPU.
If you'll be water cooling your PC then it doesn't matter as far as the Radiator Sticks out of the case & the case should have rentention holes for Tubes to pass through.
If you don't like the look of it then i'll suggest Antec 1200.
Also,have a look at the Silverstone TJ07.
