digicam for 12k for low light, sport

need a digicam for 12k
will use it for taking sport pics (football, cricket
the common games in college) so i need fast shutter speed :huh:
also do i need wide angle ???
also for cultural "functions" - the problem is
with multi-coloured flashing lights and general low illumination

canon sx100... it will give you manual control on shutter speed and aperture. canon has launched an update to that model . just check if its available yet

^^ For sports you require something long ! So a Panny FZ18 should fit the bill nicely. 18x zoom man ! Wide angle is unimportant in sports, but the Panasonic has a wide angle (27mm) and a nice long telephoto (486mm). More than sufficient for almost all occasions.

Should cost about 15k in grey. (3k over budget, but worth it IMHO).

But remember neither of these cameras are good in low light. For low light you NEED a DSLR.
