i m looking for a Digicam for around 5-6k

which one shud i opt for out of the 2

1. canon A495- 10MP 3.3x optical zoom

4 , canon powershot A1100 IS 12MP 4x optical zoom

all the 3 cameras with the exceptopn of the last one , dont have optical image stabilization ,

my knowledge of digicams is nill and photography skills- i am about to begin

wat wud be the best bang for its buck wrt to image quality

I got this one 1100 IS to replace my dead A95. Wonderfull camera, you wont go wrong with it.

And use icici offer, i had used citibank offer it costed me 6674/-

well its a wonderful entry level P and S camera.
Built in IS.
Optical Viewfinder.
Good intelligent autofocus.
Ease of operation.

only thing missing in it is Full or partial manual controls, which definitely no one can get at this price point.

Compared to A495 (which iirc does not have IS) this has better DIGIC IV processor, better optical zoom.

Olympus still dont have much Customer Care presence in India.

Those were the points I considered when I suggested him the 1100IS and same considerations prompted me to by one. :D
