went to esplanade today
there is big puja rush
asked about the canon 570 IS
price of camera + 2gb card + rechargable batteries and charger
rs 9.5 k for grey market (m m photography)
rs 12 k for proper bill (chowrongee stores)

for people with icici credit cards added advantage of emi with 0% interest
and no processing fees !!!!! (for the proper bill purchase, off course)

also asked about fuji finepix f31fd --- not available anywhere
one store had fuji f20 for 15k with 512 mb card
for fuji all stores had the 10x optical zoomer finepix s5700 at about 13k

please give advice
which do u think is the best bargain????

i think u r right 007
just went through their reviews and collected night shots at ISO 200
the attached image compares [from left to right]
powershot 570 IS --- fuji s5700 --- powershot a 550
the 570 IS clearly better
