Digital camera within 15k

Hi guys, posting this on behalf of a friend..

He is going to hong kong and wants to purchase a digital camera..

His budget is 12k..maximum to maximum 15k..
It should be very handy and easy to use..

he prefers those slick ones over the other style(FZ35 type)..

Panasonic TZ15. The best cam in the 15k range.

Slimmerr and sleeker ones then try the Canon Ixus and the Sony Cyber shot W2xx sereries
 
Cannon SX200IS very good for the price. Just did this same excersice a few days ago and found that to be the best among super zooms at that price range. TZ 15 is much more expensive.

doesnt that cost around 20k?

wanted to ask, suppose he buys the camera from hong kong will he avail any warranty?
 
No warranty if u buy ti from HK...i bought it from ebay with bill and 1 year warranty for 16250 including shipping and used 1000 bucks coupon so got it for 15,250.
 
hkg is an excellent place to buy cameras from. i bought my d90 from there. good prices. but you shouldnt know where NOT to buy cameras from.
