Today while coming back home in bus my phone got stolen. Its a Samsung Galaxy i9003. I dint have any mobile tracking app. My google account is on sync. Is there any way to find my phone? Will be giving a police complaint with the IMEI no. Worse day i usually travel by bike. Since i gave my bike for service today, i had to travel via train and then bus to get home. Feeling so distraught now. Dont even feel like having a phone now. :(

Hi,

Well sorry for your loss ! But since you don't have a tracking software of anything of that nature all you can do is to take the FIR copy and go to the nearest mobile operators customer care or store near you and ask them to track it for you.

Alternatively keep calling the number to see if its active,coz if its switched off then END OF THE STORY ! Sometimes you can be lucky and the guy may answer and ask some money !

Regards.

Let me know if the mobile operator helps you, hope you have the bill to track and block via imei number.

If the phone is still on with a active data connection, try installing Plan B from playstore on your PC. If it get's installed, there is a chance to track it.

Well, I don't think people here will care about changing IMEI. Hardly few people would know how to do this.

Yes i agree with #Rahul ++

IMEI tracking is the only option i think. I dont understand why u dont have any Tracking app installed..So many available for Android platform buddy.

I hope you are able to track your mobille soon.

Most of the tracking apps are removed if you hard reset the phone. Only a few like cerberus and avast survive a hard reset. And hard reset is quiet easy.

I just recently flashed jellybean on it. Since i couldnt backup on TB i hadnt installed all the apps which i originally had. The police said they will give the IMEI to all service providers and find it as soon as someone inserts a sim.

I want to know if they can trace the phone if it moves out of the state?
I dont agree with what Rahul says. I think i have seen quite a few service shops on ritchie street who can flash IMEI.

You might have seen the phase when all the chinese phones are to be abandoned, that time these things goes public and saved almost 75% of the chinese phones which are having non standard(unregistered) imei. You might have seen some of those shops since they are still active. However unless you are a smart a**you wont find any1 doing this for you. Its illegal and cant be done publicly.

Visit a few Local Mobile Shops who deal in New and Used Phone and Provide them the IMEI and Your Phone Number,may be some one comes for sale u are in luck then..
Years back i got my nokia 6310 i in the same manner by the Grace of God
All the best
