I recently got MU premimum account but the problem is with MTNL that it disconnects every 6 hours and the download manager does not resume the download once it disconnects it does not happens with torrents since it uses P2P protocol

there is nothing to complain......... 6hrs no dc is gr888 connection frm mtnl....... most ppl get dc every 5-6mins........

plus 6hrs is best u can get frm those rusty copper lines tht giv 2Mbps thru them...... I am very happy with mtnl triband....... I can confirm tht it does dc once every 5-6hrs....... but thts nothing.......

6hrs is the maximum time for a stable connection to stay alive on MTNL. MTNL works that way and a reconnection is the only possible way to continue using the web. There is no way around it and this has been the case since forever.

The resuming of downloads depends on the servers hosting the content. What download manager are you using?
If you are talking about resuming downloads from file-sharing sites then you need to have a paid account to use that service. AFAIK only MU and FS allowed resuming downloads for free users but even that seems to have stopped working.

-edit-
missed out on the MU premium account details. If you have one then the Mega Manager should help you with resuming downloads.

other alternatives would be jdownloader, freerapiddownloader, etc. There are too many. I have'nt checked any of these with a premium account though.

Check if you have added the DNS server manually.

I had a similar kind off problem when I selected "obtain DNS servers automatically"

Try feeding the DNS server and IP address...

Is this regarding the 6-hour disconnection or resuming downloads? I am not sure how DNS address is related to any of these.
