Disk Error : Press any key to re-start

Yesterday when i tried to turn on the PC it came up with the error

Disk Error : Press any key to re-start

I tried twice and same error came up , so i loaded BIOS default and it was normal again.

So what happen here ?

may be more than one disk or the bios started to boot from some other partition.

Ok i remember my usb drive was connected to PC but thats not first time it was connected/

Its a hdd problem, check if your hdd is not detected in bios. If not then your hdd is the culprit, and if it is detected the mbr is corrupt.
How many hdd to you have?

boot disk priority.

check whether SMART is disabled in bios by default.

Enable it and see if u get the same error again.

these errors arise in two conditions whether ur HDD is faulty or MBR becomes corrupt.if u have windows 7 try to repair it using windows installation disk.

just set BIOS to Default

to load bios generally F2 pr F8 works, sometimes delete button

depends on the motherboard
