Linux Disk Partition issues

I was installing a fresh installation of Ubuntu on my Desktop which also has a windows XP installation .I wanted to repartition my disk and put the fresh installation into my H drive . so i was supposed to click on "manual partition" . But accidentally clicked on the default "install ubuntu side by side" . Its started partitioning my E drive . I pushed the power button in my cpu which halted this and shut down my computer . I rebooted and finished my installation successfully (Ubuntu was installed in H).

Now the problem is 10GB of space is missing in my E drive . It was supposed to be 35GB but shows only 25GB in the Properties page of the disk (right click Partition E> properties).

I checked out the partition information in Control Panel>Computer management>storage (Win XP) and it shows 35GB NTFS partition correctly ! .And also again booted Ubuntu installer and checked out the E drive which shows all the 35GB as NTFS .

I have no idea as to why i am unable to see or use the 10GB if it is still in NTFS format . Can i recover it in anyway ?

ok solved it . The problem was that the 10GB partition space had turned into raw partition during the failed install . Formatting that particular drive back to NTFS solved the problem .
