dlink 2750u mtnl delhi password issue

hii frnds
i install dlink 2750u adsl router to my mtnl connection, everything works fine but sometimes when i reboot router it
shows red light on the earth light on the right hand side of the router which is supposed to be green and blinking.
i have to restart it several times and then it comes to normal.
in the manual it shows this red light means wrong password, but if its true then it don't have to be green after several attempts.
please tell me guys whether i missed something in setting my router or is this problem is normal in dlink router

The red light also means the is some problem with the line. Expected once in a while not frequently.
Give a call to mtnl and ask them to look into the line stability.

Connect a landline phone to your DSL line and see if you hear any noise. If yes, it's a line fault. Get it fixed by calling the lineman. If no, probably update the firmware of your router or do a complete factory reset and enter the settings again.

Thats not an issue. Until the modem can connect to the internet it will remain red. It generally takes 2-3 minutes for the dsl link to stablize and for red light to turn green.

Also go to the STATUS page of your modem to see if you are reading the ISP's DNS servers or not. If you get those populated then your line is good.
