Dlink glb 802c config. problem

My dlink glb 802c which i bought some 10 days back is not connecting to internet.

OS- windows vista

Double chked my modem connection each time(atleast 10 times) 4m users manual provided by dlink.

Used everything 4m spitter to ethernet cable provided by dlink to make connections.

Called the dlink cust. care (18002330000) for help but didnt work. They say my bsnl connection has MAC binding which the bsnl ppl say they cant disable for security reasons.

Even the 'bsnl engineer' couldnt config. the modem.

Technical details:

All the LED lights are solid except the Data light, which blinks sometimes very slowly & inconsistantly. My network connectin shows 'Local only' connectn.

Am posting this thread 4m my mobile.

Plz help.

Thanks in advance.

Am able to connect this unit from my friends bsnl line, but not on my laptop.

Is there no senior member in techenclave to answer this thread???

Re: Dlink glb 802c config. problem

Hmmm..What mode you using you connect? PPPoE or Bridge? try bridge mode by creating a dialer from Windows 7(Network sharing center --> Create a new connection).

I am using BSNL from past 2-3years. Never heard of them implementing MAC binding. Althought there is line/port binding which cost on based of phone no.
