I was flew with Etihad to Delhi yesterday and my suitcase hasn't shown up. It has been more than 24+ hours, they are saying it will still take some time to trace and deliver my baggage. Am I entitled to some compensation for the delay and should I pester them for some?

If you had a travel insurance, I guess you are entitled to some compensation. Not sure if airlines directly provide compensation.

My company has travel insurance, but it's only applicable while flying out, not if you're returning back. And the max limit for delayed luggage is only USD 100. :hungover:

I didn't get any compensation when I flew from London to Chennai by emirates but baggage was delivered safely to my designated address the next day. This happened 4,yrs back

Few years back, when flying to Toronto using BA, my baggage did not arrive with me at Toronto. So I went to baggage claim counter and argued with them about inconvenience (it was already 10PM at Toronto), as I did not have proper toiletries, and spare clothes. So they gave me C$ 80 to buy my necessities.I am not sure how they are going to treat such cases in India.
