do i need a new modem?

hi there folks,:)
I'm currently using HUAWEI SmartAX MT880 with bsnl data one 2mbps plan.
I have applied for a 4 mbps plan. do i need to change the modem or the current modem will do for these speeds?

so the modem will have to be reconfigured? because right nw it reads max dl speed 2048 kbps and max ul 512 kbps?
 
no, the settings are from the isp side. you cant do anything there. maybe they have not yet increased your speeds.
 
Nothing for you to do. At the most, you'll just need to power-cycle the modem once. Like 6pack mentioned, all the settings are done on the ISP's side.
