While there has been talk of Do not call Registry in India , its cool to see how the US has done it. https://www.donotcall.gov/Register/Reg.aspx , a centralized repository/directory rather than how we think of going about it.

Instead of having do not call registry, they can maintain a do call registry. Anyone interested in getting marketing calls about particular service can register in it and get calls and the rest of us should be spared.
These companies have got no right to disturb us as they do, we get mobile and telephone connections for our convenience, not for these companies to market.
