Am thinking about purchasing RE2 In-ear Headphones for my iphone.Amazon.com: HEAD-DIRECT RE2 In-ear Headphones: Electronics Wanna know whether sites like amazon.com ship to india? How long will it take to get here and what's the expected cost--customs duty, transportation charges ,etc, etc?? Also how reliable is amazon.com and what are the chances of me getting defective products? If the products are defective how do i send them back??
And finally are there any other reliable websites that ship to india??

Incase you just want to get a RE-2 ,Amarbir -Lynx India is your best bet as they are also the distributor for Head direct products in India.

The other option is to order directly on Head Direct site, as they ship to India.

Both work out to be the same with regards to pricing. getting it via Amarbir might be faster, hassle free and help in warranty support. :)

:O . Once you purchase a product from the seller online(usually through credit cards in case of e-commerce websites or online bank transfers for offline purchases-from a seller who does not have a CC based system), he ships you the product through courier or post :) . Make sure you buy online from a trusted source. All the best! :D

Amabir does not have a fully established e-commerce website as yet. So you'll have use your banking account to transfer cash(online banking is the best since it reflects his account instantly) or you can send him a cheque/DD via post.

Well, its not tha it doesnt allow, they do, but you may have to pay duty, that all. I dont think Amazon ships games to India, it was only books/dvd's/blu-ray's last I checked.

I would recommend getting games from Play-asia.com or Shopto.co.uk, I have ordered from them a couple times, takes about 3 weeks, but no issues/hassles, or customs in my case. I ordered my Ds3 remoted and Euro'08 from PA, and LBP and MS:PR from Shopto.

no man...unless your package gets "caught" by the custom officers. With PA's free shipping/bubble economy packing, there are very less chances of your stuff getting held up anywhere.

if you opted for bubble box packing, then it might get held up. because sometimes customs officers do a random check and grab hold of any large sized box/package. even if it labelled as a gift, because that is the oldest trick in the book! :)

usually there are no problems. even i am waiting for my first ever shipment from PA to arrive....i placed my order last monday.

I ordered nu NUFORCE headphones from amazon it took 20 or more days to come. But reached safely. These days have been trying to order SANDISK 16 gb titanium but they dont send it to india..Sad....

So how much did you pay for customs and how is it calculated? When i had ordered JLabs J2, i had to pay around 400-500Rs for customs.

For games/dvds customs charge 14.6% flat of the total cost of the goods. Not sure whether they'll charge duties on each of your package contents or overall. I can vouch for that since I spoke to the deputy commissioner of customs in Bangalore yesterday, well by phone :p lolllllllllllllll
