.com is the standard for commercial websites and is easier to remember as not all are aware of .me tld.

I used .me for my site http://workfreely.me Its a site for freelancers to find work from various freelancing sites. I think the overall URL came quite nice - work freely me , me works freely. Get it ?

Its based on perception. I personally love .com domains only. But there is no harm in using a .me domain, if you dont mind using it.
