DOD Source for ATI coupen/retail users.

Hi guys.
I just thought you guys should know this.
I wanted to buy the Day Of Defete Source. The normal cost is $19.96. This is applicable for everyone including the retail bronze pack or bronze steam pack.
Or same price is there for those who have the ATi coupen pack which automatically gets you bronze pack.
So if you want DOD source dont just purchase that game. Go to steam bundle offers and select the silver pack.
Steam automatically substracts ATI coupen value bronze value and you end up paying just $10 and get DOD source + HL Souece + all silver games.
This is half the price you pay for more no of games.
So keep this in mind if you plan to purchase DOD source.
Now this should apply also for the retail bronze pack users as steam allows only HL2 purchase on steam but i cant confirm it. See it yourself.
 
Got confused totally... Explain again... Like i have got the retail pack which already includes HL2+CS: S+CG+HLD: S... If i wanna purchase DOD: S shouldnt i purchase the DOD: S for $20... How do end up paying $10 and still get HL: S with it...

All i am trying to ask is that with HL2 retail pack how do i get DOD: S for $10
 
go to browse games. And look at the silver pack. If its substracting the price of bronze package from the total you need to pay only $10 and you upgrade your self to silver package which include the DOD and HL1 soucre.

You are allowed to purchase 1 HL2 pack on steam. Yours is retail so you should also be able to upgrade online to silver using CC rather than purchase just 1 game by paying @20.
 
Thanks for the tip... though there will be a retail pack coming up which will include Aftermath + DOD:S and some other games... Read on steampowered forums... Was waitig for that... But this deal seems neat...
 
How do you pay online?? Credit cards?? Do they accept Indian cards??

Wont make a difference either way..... Not buying any more games for some time now....
 
Nope, i have the Retail Bronze package bought in Indiaffor 1499.

I get the stupid Thank You thing on the other 2 packs..

 
ok checked it myself.

$10 upgrade to silver pack and $35 upgrade to gold is only valid for ATI coupen users. not to retail users.

No damn Milestone, they hiked the prices from 1.5k to 2k seeing the popularity of the game. :@
 
Where in the hell were you when i was buying this ... lol... But what to do with DOD: S now... I dont wanna spend $20 on the damm thing...
 
Dont bother.

Its useless offline. Atleast for now. The bot script is not complete so even if you decide to play with bot you can go right upto enemy bot with machine gun and punch him in the face and he wont do anything.

So getting it "the other way" is kinda useless.

In comming updates valve will add bot menu and some better bots. than you can give it a thought. Till then this game kina is online only.
 
Pity me, I havent even got HL2 legal pack :( ! I don't mind paying 2k but the D/L is toooo big for dialup :(

I've already finished the game with the *other* version. @- Valve- :P !
