Does anyone here care about the PS5 Jailbreak scene?

Many of you might not know but the jb scene is on fire rn. Am I the only one keeping up with it? Is anyone else excited for the possibility of Linux on PS5 and things like 60fps mods on unsupported titles?

Is anyone else excited for the possibility of Linux on PS5 and things like 60fps mods on unsupported titles?

I used to be really into this kind of thing back when I had a PS4. But now? Not so much. At this point, I just want to turn on my console and play. No tweaking, no jailbreaking, no messing with settings, just straight to gaming. I think a lot of people who are a bit older or have busy stressful jobs can relate. When free time is scarce, the last thing you want is to spend it troubleshooting.

As for jailbreaking, let’s be real most of the excitement comes from running games for free. The modding aspect? If someone really cares about that, they’re probably using a PC anyway, where it’s much simpler and more powerful.

PS4 was shown running linux, but what benefit it offered? Nothing, it is just a proof of concept. No active development there not offering anything of real value to the normal person.
