Does Jabong provide a stamped warranty card for Seiko watches?

Overpriced for sure, but Seiko has officially said that any Seiko products bought online in India will not be covered by official warranty.

That means, in case of problems, you are left with a) contacting a local watch maker/repair place, b) trying your hand at tinkering yourself, or c) buying at highly inflated prices from B&M stores that never really run any discounts on Seiko watches.

The price for a watch I am looking at is the same as the one at an authorized retail store - 18500. Jabong often has a 20% off deal or something so I am waiting for that opportunity.

And Seiko does have 'authorized' online sales partners according to their website though I am yet to come across anyone of them in India.

This had a 20% off during the Diwali period[DOUBLEPOST=1415077416][/DOUBLEPOST]
Does this follows with casio as well? I recently bought an edifice from jabong :0

Casio authorized sellers display a logo on their website - Amazon India Casio Store does, though I can't find it on Jabong. That said, Casio is one of the most sensible brands in that they allow and encourage online sales.

Did you check out creationwatches.

Seiko India does not provide a warranty on any Indian online purchase.
Here's a mail I got from them when I asked them a while ago.

Seiko watch India is not selling watches through online and hence they are not authorised seller and if watches sold through online does not cover under warranty.
Best regards,
Seiko team

They don't have it in stock and in any case, Seiko won't provide warranty on watches purchased from them would they?
BTW, does anyone have any idea how customs work when bought from Creationwatches or Jomashop? Does FedEx pay customs on your behalf and then collect it from you at the time of delivery?

Seiko will provide warranty if you have proof of purchase from CreationWatches. Jomashop states clearly in their T&C that they provide their own warranty and not official brand warranty.
As for customs, it is a hit and miss. FedEx will pay on your behalf and charge you appropriate amount that you have to poney up to the delivery guy.

A friend ordered from CW. They list it as a horology hobby item. It clears customs. Their Seiko warranty is fine. I think Chris owns the shop. Mail him and ask. Much better than the Indian fraud e-retailers selling at extreme mark-ups.

By the way, CW has a whooping sale on...!

I have bought a seiko watch from jabong.com few months back.
They have provided a bill with VAT. Warranty statement had only the serial number of the watch written, no dealer stamp. Watch was imported and Marketed by Seiko Watches India Pvt Ltd.
I have used 40% off coupon at that time, hence the price was almost equal to any other site abroad.
@asingh , its not the e retailers in India who sell the seiko watches at extreme mark-ups, its seiko themselves. Jabong is selling at MRP.
@letmein , you can apply 32% off coupon now in jabong (on seiko watches)

Buying a Seiko from US makes more sense. I was looking for a Seiko 5 and it is selling for 17k in showroom compared to 60$ in US

Got mine from Jabong. Ordered yesterday, delivered today
